How not to respond to reviews

Wow. Just wow.

I can understand not liking reviews of your book. I really can. That being said, it's best not to engage the reviewer in the comment threads. That way lies danger.

And it certainly was dangerous for the writer in question. Well, people know who she is now (because her rants have been picked up by numerous writing and publishing websites).

Scalzi and the Electronic Publishing Bingo Card

Clearly, I am a fan of self-publishing, electronic publishing, and the like, but there is also some realism involved with how you can be successful in doing so. John Scalzi, noted science fiction author, has created a bingo card that is just plain fun, but is also very accurate with regard to electronic publishing and, not coincidentally, with self-publishing.
